In recent months, an increasing number of European countries, including France, have reinstated border controls in response to waves of migration and attacks, thus restoring the materiality of a concept that has been absent in the Schengen area for over thirty years.
This prominent issue gave birth to the theme of the competition for the “Prix Lens’Art Photographic 2016”
Applicants are invited to produce a series of 12-15 photographs on the theme:

This theme shouldn’t be understood in a narrow geographical or political sens of the word “border”. It has rather a larger meaning of a “boundary between two phenomena, two regions, two concepts or even just two different things”
