deadline: Dec 24, 2015
art/terre and Entre-Lacs, two biannual contemporary fine arts events held in situ, are designed to invite 10 international (teams of) creative artists to spend a week producing an original artistic work in which the earth (at BE-Comines-Warneton) and water (at FR-Villeneuve d’Ascq) play a central role.
The two events draw their inspiration from specific local characteristics unleashed by natural resources: the lakes for Villeneuve d’Ascq and the brickworks for Comines-Warneton. Both endeavour to bring the public and the artists closer together, focusing on art in situ as a medium for encouraging the public to reflect upon their living spaces.
The participation rules and the call for art/terre and Entre-Lacs projects (deadline: 24 December) are the same.
