deadline: Sept 1, 2015
From their call: The Anamorphosis Prize was established to promote excellence, dialogue and excitement in the field of self-published photobooks and photo- based artist books. It is open to all self- published photobooks and photo- based artist books published between May 1st 2014 and September 1st 2015.
Playing definitions as nebulous, the photobook functions as a transparent vehicle for its content and the artist book uses the book form as medium.
A photo- based artist book is a work of art in itself.
- Your book must be self- published in an edition of 50 or greater.
- Self-published means self-published.
- No collaboration with any publisher no matter the size is allowed.
- There is no entry fee.
- In order to be considered, entries must be received by September 1st 2015.
The Jury consists of Charlotte Cotton, John A. Phelan and Anouk Kruithof.
All entries will be donated at the end of the contest to Franklin Furnace for their permanent collection and the shortlist of 20 books will also be included in the MoMA library.
The winner will receive $10,000. No strings attached.
